 Corny Joke Monday

 Last Week on the Blog

 This Week on the Blog

TTT: Top Ten on My Spring TBR Meme

 What I'm Reading:

It's Monday! What Are You Reading? is a place to meet up and
share what you have been, are and about to be reading over the week.

Rise of the Evening Star by Brandon Mull
My rereading of Fablehaven needs to speed up because a copy of Dragonwatch is already waiting for me at the library...

Heartless by Marissa Meyer (audio)
I'm having a little trouble with this one because the main character is starting to get on my nerves. I'm so close to finishing, though, I just need to suck it up and get it done.

The Death and Afterlife Book by James R. Lewis
So I admit, this one looks really random. Well it is. This is research for a WIP that I'm...not actually...working on...right now...

 What I Read:

I'm currently 2/17 for the books on my Take Control of Your TBR! Challenge.
Obviously I need to kick my reading up a notch.

Fablehaven by Brandon Mull (reread)

Airman by Eoin Colfer (reread)
Still love this book. <3 The book club discussion on this one has me wanting to read (and watch) The Count of Monte Cristo.

 Internet Shenanigans

I've been listening to a lot more YouTube artists recently -namely Jonathan Young and Peter Hollens- and I can't get enough of them.

The Plagues (Prince of Egypt) -Cover by Caleb Hyles and Jonathan Young
With Passover coming up soon, this has got me excited to rewatch Prince of Egypt. ^_^

But Peter Hollens new cover of 'The Sound of Silence' is AMAZING. If you liked Disturbed's cover of this a while back, you will likely love this one too.

 In Real Life

I took my sister to see SING for the second time. I adore that movie; it's fun, but it's an inspiring, 'feel good' flick too. When I got out, I bought myself a nice-ish set of headphones to practice piano like I've been telling myself I'll get around to eventually. And I discovered my keyboard has a metronome! That's going to come in handy. ^_^

 Random

I just started on season 6 of Star Wars: Clone Wars and, I've got to admit, much as I love Tim Curry, his voicing Emperor Palpatine is...random.

  What's new with you?

  1. I'm such a bad librarian, I totally wouldn't have understood that joke...there are so many Dewey numbers, I can't remember half of them, I always have to look them up...on Google! ;-)

    1. Haha, I would have to look it up, too. There's only a few specific Dewey numbers I know by heart. Mostly 398.2 (fairy tales ^_^)
      Thanks for stopping by!

  2. I just remember re-shelving many a book in 741.5 (Comic books & graphic novels).

    1. Unfortunately, I'm not free to join the 24 hour thon. I'll have to find another time to binge read, I guess! You have a great week too. ^_^

  4. It's funny, the last few artists I've found that I liked I totally found on Youtube! Just listening to something else and stumbling on someone new... and the Fablehaven books look so fun, one of these days I'm going to try those!

Tim Curry voicing Palpatine? THAT sounds interesting. I really should try Clone Wars...

    1. YouTube is a wondrous treasure trove of talent, if I just take time to look for it. Fablehaven is a great series; definitely worth a try.

Yeah, it's a weird change, just because Tim Curry has such a distinctive voice. He only voices Palpatine for the last season. Clone Wars is good, especially the last couple of seasons. Whoa.

  5. 'm glad you and your sister had a good time. I need to watch Star Wars Clone Wars. How come I haven't if I am a HUGE fan?? SMH! I hope you do finish Heartless and review it. I'm very curious to hear what you think. Isn't this the one that has many controversial reviews because of racism?

    1. I'm totally in the same boat! I adore Star Wars and I never deigned to watch Clone Wars until this last year. It really is fantastic for the most part, and those last few seasons -wooo!
Hmm, I'm not sure on Heartless. I haven't read any reviews for it, but I'm almost finished with the book and I haven't noticed anything I'd call racist.

    2. haha! leave to my Dory brain to get two totally different books mixed up. Nope it is not Heartless. It was Veronica Roth's Carve the Mark. Sorry about that! :( https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/30117284-carve-the-mark

    3. No problem! I get books mixed up all the time. It's when I start mixing them up with movies things get really confusing. XD
