What 3 Characters Would You Have Lunch With and Why?

James Potter. Lilly Potter. Harry Potter.

And why, you ask? WHY?!

SO HARRY CAN MEET HIS PARENTS AND ASK THEM EVERYTHING HE'S EVER WANTED TO! AND HIS PARENTS CAN SEE WHAT HE LOOKS LIKE WHEN HE GROWS UP AND KNOW WHAT KIND OF PERSON HE IS!

SO THEY CAN BE A FAMILY FOR ONCE, IF ONLY FOR A SINGLE LUNCH, BECAUSE THEY NEVER GOT THE CHANCE!

*achem*

I'm not invested in this series at all. Oh no.

(But if I wasn't so invested in Harry's emotional well-being -and obviously reserving my right to do this again once I finish the series if need be- I'd have to go with Fred and George and Dumbledore. I love Fred and George because they're hilarious, but they've got grit, too; it would be fun to hang out with them for an afternoon. Then Dumbledore is wise and kind, but he's got his own brand of mischief. I imagine we could all get into quite a bit of trouble. Especially if Fred and George were testing out new tricks. And Dumbledore was giving them pointers. That would be fun.)

All these Harry Potter emotions just remind me how far behind I am on Harry Potter Month posts. But I've got a week and a half left?

Who would you invite?

  1. You first pick of reuniting Harry's family made me emotional ♥ In case you couldn't tell, I'm overly invested in the series too - especially as I'm rereading it at the moment! The Weasley Twins and Dumbledore sound perfect too...it'd be funny and entertaining I think :D

    1. Since Fred and George seemed to have such a high regard of Dumbledore, especially when Umbridge had taken over, and since Dumbledore has that quietly mischievous side, it's way too intriguing to think what would happen when they weren't Headmaster and students anymore!

  2. Both of these lunch groups are great! I love that you are so invested in reuniting Harry with his parents. (I think we all are.) Fred & George and Dumbledore would be such an interesting lunch. I can just see Dumbledore subtly encouraging them in their mischeif. :)

    1. RIGHT?! Dumbledore totally would! I'd pay to see it, really. XD

  3. Oh my goodness!! I never even imagined Harry getting to have lunch with his parents. That's an amazing lunch trio! That really does hit me right in the feels. Dumbledore and Fred and George is a fantastic combination as well. So we did go with the same ones except I counted those as 1 and added Luna to the mix ;) I like your choices a lot. I'm still quite hung up on the idea of Harry getting to have lunch with his parents though.

    1. It was honestly the first thing that came to mind. It just...*sigh* Poor Harry. I'm still not over the fact he had such wonderful parents and he never got to meet them.
Right?! If I had thought to count Fred and George as one, it would have been a toss up for the third member: Sirius, because I didn't get enough of him! Remus, because I love him, or Ron, because he's so blasted entertaining.

  4. Love both sets of your lunch trios! The Mirror of Erised scene breaks my heart every time, to know that Harry seeing his parents was his heart's greatest desire. And I can totally picture Dumbledore plotting mischief with the twins, even if had to deny any involvement later to Filch, lol.

    1. Ha! I hadn't even considered Filch! I could see hoodwinking Filch alone turning into a fun game.
I know! Every time I think about Harry and his parents... *sob*

  5. Well this is like the sweetest answer ever! I'm obviously much less nice than you (that Slytherin side of me is showing) because I'd be selfish and have lunch with Fred, George and Dumbledore. You're so right about Dumbledore, Fred & George plotting which could be huge fun to watch.

    1. I get far too sentimental about fictional characters, I'm sure!
It's just occurred to me that Dumbledore, Fred & George could be up to any kinds of mischief right now on the other side of the veil. ^_^
